My Values

I am a UX Designer with 10 years of experience and a passion for solving problems. I firmly believe that designing a successful user experience is an intricate process and a story in progress - never an end result. For this reason I strive to familiarize myself with the development world as much as the product owner’s needs to ensure I have a well rounded understanding of the application so that I can help deliver a product where all parties can benefit. I am passionate about clean, simple design, and I really like creating elements that help people make their lives a little easier. Many times, this means starting with my team and finding solutions to problems we have internally to help us organize our tasks better, and provide each other with the best information possible when handing off a project to the next designer in their specialty.

    I have experience working with teams to brainstorm and whiteboard concepts. I can create wireframes at varying levels of detail, and enjoy prototyping ideas. I have moderate front-end coding experience, and enjoy working with devs to build ideas out. I have also worked with distributed teams using version control systems (SVN, and Git).

    Beyond the office....

    Outside of work, I enjoy most to just be outside! I dabble in multiple outdoor adventure sports...hiking, rock climbing, backcountry camping, kitesurfing, surfing, scuba diving, skiing, running and swimming to name a few :) When it's raining, or I'm just feeling inspired, I paint.
